In the past, two tributary rivers of the Monnegre ran through Ibi: the Rambla Gavarnera, which does not exist today, and Les Caixes (Las Cajas), which was partially channeled as it passed through the urban center. The first part of the river from its source is not canalized and can be seen in the Barranco de los Molinos.
In its northern and northeastern part, it borders a large mountain arc formed by the Biscoi, Teixereta, Cabezo Quarter, Cabezo Corbó and Tallada mountain ranges. Its highest peak is Menejador, with 1356 meters of altitude. This mountain is located within the Carrascal de la Fuente Roja Natural Park, which belongs to the municipalities of Ibi and Alcoy.
The town is nestled between two hills on which the hermitages of Santa Lucía and San Miguel are located respectively.
Surrounded by mountains, it is easy to find yourself in the middle of nature in a few minutes, hence the conservation of the multiple routes that run through them are carefully cared for not only for their beauty but also for their incalculable cultural heritage. For this reason, numerous restorations have been carried out in the most significant places in our municipality.
Public land has also been used to build areas within our city with urban gardens that any citizen can request, giving life to part of the population.
